Which Ways Quicker, in a nutshell, is two brothers having the absolute time of their life. Born and raised in Southern California, their childhood was spent listening to their father's album collection, which ranged form bands like The Beatles and The Doors to early punk rock like Elvis Costello to singer songwriters like Neil Young and Bob Dylan. After receiving a guitar for his birthday one year, younger brother Zack talked his brother Andy into buying a bass so they could play together.
In late 2006, writing, recording and performing music evolved from a weekend hobby into a steadfast passion. The band has gone from performing at coffee shops and back yard parties to venues such as the House of Blues. "We love to play," says Andy, "we don't care if it's at a sold out show or for some friends in my living room, we just love to play music."
The duo's first EP, Gone Astray, was recorded throughout the first half of 2008 with producer Matt Phipps(Mayweather, How's My Driving.) "It's sort of an eclectic selection of song... our genre teeters between acoustic rock, pop, reggae and country;" states Zack. The six song disc lives up to it's title, all songs having the common theme of trying to find one's self, a topic that most of us can all relate to.
